Same lens, different sensor. With the same optic, a smaller sensor captures only the centre of what full frame sees — the frame narrows. Switch sensors and watch how the same scene gets cropped.
Zoom the lens in — the photo gets closer but the boxes stay put. Cropping depends on the sensor, not the lens.
