In short: Spektrum does not track you. There are no accounts, no forms to fill in, and no analytics or advertising trackers running on the site. Below is exactly what does and does not happen.
The site uses a single cookie: spk_lang. It is written only when you press the TR/EN button in the header, and its only job is to remember your language preference — so that if you choose to read in Turkish, you are not sent to the English pages again even when your browser language is English. It contains nothing but tr or en, carries no information about your identity, and expires by itself after a year.
No other cookies are used. There are no advertising cookies, tracking pixels or social media tracking scripts.
No Google Analytics or similar analytics tool runs on this site. We follow how the site appears in search through Google Search Console; that tool places no cookies on visitors and shows us only aggregated, anonymous search data.
The site is hosted on Vercel. As with any web server, your request is recorded technically: IP address, date, which page was requested and browser information. These logs exist for security and debugging, and are not used for advertising or profiling.
Article images are loaded from Unsplash servers (images.unsplash.com). When an image reaches your browser, your IP address is naturally also visible to Unsplash — this is the standard situation whenever any site loads an image from elsewhere.
No embedded YouTube videos, external font services or third-party comment systems are used.
No advertising is currently shown on the site. If ads are introduced later, this page will be updated beforehand, and will clearly explain which cookies the ad network uses and how you can turn off personalised advertising.
Because we collect no personal data from you, there is no record of yours that you could ask us to delete. If you still have a privacy question, you can write to us on Instagram.
This page is updated whenever something on the site changes, and the date above is refreshed.
